PRAY FOR US

Twelve churches in our area have been in a 40-day prayer session for Ruidoso, the Mescelero Reservation and the surrounding towns - that GOD would set our hearts on fire for the lost and many will accept HIM as their SAVIOR.  We started July 29th and end this Friday, Sept. 6th.  Services will be held at the Ruidoso Convention Center Friday and Saturday nights and again Sunday morning with all churches participating and, prayerfully, those who accept HIM.  Because we are a resort [fun, play] town and there are 3 casino's plus the race track there is a lot of gambling, indebtness and crime.  Also, there are too many parents who don't care what their kids are doing - "so long as the cops aren't called".  We are desperate for your prayers.

What was I going to say?

I was going to say something but I forgot what it was!  Really, this is quite frustrating.  I've always had a good memory.  You might even call it a photographic memory...but I don't know...lately I seem to be running out of film!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  That, or it is getting overexposed [ maybe I should stop trying to take it out and check it for content].  Oh well, that's what happens as you grow younger.

As you can tell, I'm in a nutty mood.  Nothing to do, no where to go, no one to see - I live a very exciting life - don't even have a dog or cat to yell at or pet when I get home.  Think I need to see if I can catch me a mouse for a pet.  What do you think?  But I haven't seen one since I closed up their hole in the kitchen with foil.  Oh well!  It was just a thought.

Hope this gets me off the poodle list.  Sure miss all ya'll.  Love, hugs and prayers.  Gma

JOYOUS TIME

What a joyous time this past weekend has been.  Mainly to celerate the truth that JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOR IS ALIVE AND I'VE BEEN FORGIVEN - HALLELUJAH!

I went to Toni and Kerry's on Friday.  Toni has told me so much about their pastor and his wife, Mark and Shirley, that I felt I already knew them.  I also met their daughters and son, as well as many other family members.  It was a truly great weekend and they were such gracious hosts.  She had also told me about their good friends, Bill and Irene, and they also feel like old friends.  They have 3 sons who love and serve the LORD.  John, the oldest, can make a piano get up and dance.  I didn't get to be around David, the youngest son, much but John and Robert came over and spent the afternoon - really enjoyed getting to visit with them also.

Guests of Mark and Shirley were long time friends, Rory and Flora, their daughter, Cecile [who is a student at CFNI], son, Michael, and their good friend, Chris.    Rory and Flora are missionaries to the Maya Indians in Mexico [Flora is Mayan].  Chris also goes on mission trips to the Mayas.  Flora has a beautiful testimony of her salvation and I could listen to her, Rory and Chris talk about their experiences and never get tired.  I fell in love with them all and can hardly wait until I get to see them again.

I stopped in Sierra Blanca on the way home Monday and had lunch with my younger son and his family.  Enjoyed spending even a short time with them.  My older son and wife came up to Ruidoso the two weekends before Easter so I got to see all my children.   When I left SB the temp was 78 with high winds and when I got home it was 34 and raining.  Quite a change.

We missed Audrie, Steven and Hannah but felt their presence with us.

Hope you all had a truly remarkable experience on Easter and the LORD blessed each of you.  Love ya, gma

A ROYAL VISIT

The first week of January and again this past week I was honored by visits from some 'Daughters of the KING' [in other words, Hannah, Audrie and Bethany].  What a joy it was to have them with me - they brought much laughter and sunshine into my home.  GOD truly blessed me and I thank HIM for these beautiful young ladies who have CHRIST first in their lives and their utmost desire is to serve HIM.  I just wish more of you could have come up and spread your joy in the mountains.  Thank you so much for allowing me to share in your life.  Much love, Gma
